Who is Hyo-Jung Kim?
In addition, she has been instrumental in bringing new multi-cultural fellowship events to enrich the life of the congregation and the wider community including a Lunar New Year celebration in early February and the traditional Korean Chusok festival in the autumn.
![]() Beyond her primary focus on children and youth, Hyo-Jung is actively engaged in many of the activities of the United Church of Christ including serving on the Executive Council of the General Synod which is the representative body of our denomination, serving on the Board of Directors in the Central Atlantic Conference, representing the New Jersey Association, and is a member of PAAM (Pacific Asian American Ministries), a recognized church group.
Born in Seoul, Korea and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, Hyo-Jung is a graduate of Boston College, Yale Divinity School, and Harvard Graduate School of Education. She has worked in academia, community organizations, communications and public relations, ecumenical church work, and administration and office management within the context of the larger church in the US, South Korea and Ireland.
